You can't forget about dimsum when you're talking about breakfast in Penang. We went for Prosperous Dimsum Restaurant.
Prosperous Dimsum Restaurant is located on Macalister Road. When we reach there, the place is already filled. We got our table and started scribbling on the order form. We ordered a pot of Pu Erh tea and a lot dimsums!
We had siew mai, egg tarts, breaded fish, carrot cake etc etc. Their dimsum is delicious although some might be a bit oily. Best of all, it is much cheaper than dimsums in Singapore. Some of this are not found in Singapore. There's this meat that is wrapped with bacon. I think cheese is injected into it too.
I especially love the fried breaded fish. It is fried crispy on the outside and the fish is soft in the inside. The cream sauce adds a touch of sweet and sour to it. Simply delicious!
There's also a unique dimsum - shrimp or crabmeat paste with steam egg. I love the taste of seafood that brings out the sweetness. The bland steamed egg is seasoned with a little salt. Prefect!

While we were on our way back, we found this famous stall, Ming Xiang Tai Pastry Shop (名香泰餅家). They sell good pastries especially tarts. Therefore, we shared a single pandan egg tart before ordering a whole box to bring back as souvenirs.
