After last Saturday's MEAT-MADDNESS, we decide to go for more vegetables. Thus, we travelled all the way east to try out Vegan Burg.
Vegan Burg sells vegetarian burgers. I heard a lot of positive comments and thus, have very high expectations of Vegan Burg. We reached there around 6 in the evening and the place was quite empty.
First impression of the place wasn't too bad. Nice vintage exterior and an interesting slogan, "Once bitten twice wise." The inside of Vegan Burg was quite impressive. It had a modern rustic look and supports going green. All their tables are made of recycled pallet.
The pallets are smoothen on all sides before having a new coat of paint and then have the words engraved. Lastly, the finishing touch of varnish and the having the stand attached. Nice concept and great atmosphere.
We order the recommended Creamy Shrooms Burger. I topped up to a meal while dear had the sidekicks. Food's served in a mess tin =) Super interesting! This makes me think over those times when I was in outfield, deep in the forest cooking maggie with it.
The burger was great. The patty tasted similar to meat. I was amazed! The cream was unique and they uses better mushrooms rather than those canned mushrooms. The seaweed fries on the other hand loses out. It seemed a little soggy but the seaweed taste was there.
Overall I was satisfied with my trip to Vegan Burg. It does live up to its high rated comments =) Folks, do give it a try.
