I've been designing website as my assignments for my IA and I came to be sensitive about:
LAYOUTS & COLORS Looking through, newspapers, posters, pamphlets and websites, I tend to be more aware of the way the placement of elements, the color scheme, typography, graphics used and the emphasis of important information.

Below is a brief breakdown of the style employed by the TODAY newspaper.

The color scheme

TODAY has red as the main color. The text are black with a combination of lighter black and sub-headings with a dark red.

The Color Scheme

Different sections have a different color. For example, world news-red, sports-green, business-navy blue.

Info-graphics

TODAY uses simple morden circles for their info-graphics. The colors are striking and eye-catching. The big quotes images catches the attention of the readers.

TODAY has big nice chart with a rich red color, bold ratio readings and labels aligned at the bottom of the chart. Last but not least a bigger bolded capitalized title.

Some important details are summarized and place within a rectangle in bullet form for easier and faster reading. Important figures are Bold & enlarged.
