Aconitum also known as Wolfsbane are chiefly natives of the mountainous parts of the northern hemisphere. It is one of the most poisonous plants of European flora.
Historically, ancient Greeks used it as a weapon by coating spears and arrowheads with its poison to make wolf hunt. In ancient Rome, Wolfsbane was used to eliminate criminals and enemies.
Today, Wolfsbane is carefully dosed and applied externally as painkillers.
