Xiang Xiang Noodles and Rainbow Dessert

Hidden good food found at Chong Pang Market Food Centre. It's my favorite food dry mee!

I've notice quite a number of tables having this delicious looking bowl of noodles with fish balls. I took a walk around and finally led me to Xiang Xiang noodle stall. Without hesitation, I ordered a $3.50 bowl of mixed ingredients mee pok.

The most important aspect of dry mee is the sauce. This stall does the sauce just great. It’s has the aroma of chili and the sour from the vinegar. The noodles are cooked perfectly accompanied with pieces of crispy pork cracklings (although I’m not a really great fan of it).

The soup is light with fresh chewy fish balls. Adding some fishcakes, meat balls and dumplings add much flavor to the soup. The fishcake is amazing! The skin of the fish cake is fried giving off the taste and aroma of oil. I was impressed by the fishcakes from this stall.

Right beside Xiang Xiang noodle stall is Rainbow Dessert Stall. On a scorching hot day like this who wouldn’t stop for a bowl of ice? So I had a bowl of refreshing Bo Bo Cha Cha. I love the colourful display of ingredients under the ice. It’s a pleasant surprise unveiling it. There’s quite a variety of hot and cold desserts to choose from. This is another good dessert stall beside the stall in Yishun.

That’s all folks! Try it when you’re at Chong Pang Market Food Centre.
