We tried out Shimbashi Soba at Nex yesterday - attracted by the nice atmosphere and the nice pictures of soba.
Dear ordered Yuba & Kinoko Soba. It is a hot bowl of soba with mushrooms and bean curd skin. I ordered Yuba & Kinoko Soba. This dish is eaten by dipping the soba half deep into the soup. This dish too has bea curb skin, mushrooms and of course, the main ingredient - premium duck meat.
My soup was of course super salty. It is used for dipping the soba instead of direct consumption. The duck meat was super fattening and has a rich taste. Those who hate the taste of meat should avoid this.
The soba was good but not excellent or to die food. I feel that the price was much to steep. Paying over $20 and I get only 3 pieces of premium duck meat! Oh Well!
