Dinner at Gurney Drive. Ahh... Not that want in Penang but in Singapore =)
The service there was quite good. We were served the minute we stepped into the shop. The waiter ushered us to our seats and briefed us through the order form. The photos of food on the menu looks delicious. However, half of the main dishes in the menu are spicy.
We had a hot bowl of prawn noodle, sambal sting ray for side and two unique drinks - Ice blended Nutmeg and Ampla Drink. The soup for the prawn noodle was fabulous. It was filled with rich aroma of prawns and pork ribs. The prawns was fresh. However, the noodles are just normal (yellow noodles).
The sting ray on the other hand was disappointing. The sting ray was so pathetically small. I think the ray was deep frozen as the flesh sticked to the bone. Thank god the chili was good.
I have no idea how to describe the drinks. The Ampla drink was sour with a slight raw bitter taste and the sour plum gives a touch of sweet. The Ice Blended Nutmeg tastes like.. Nutmeg? That's the only thing I can think of. Enjoy folks!
