National Orchid Garden

Went to National Orchid Garden @ Singapore Botanic Gardens a few days back. Singapore Botanic Gardens attracts lots of tourists. I saw quite a few Caucasians making my way down to the National Orchard Garden .

National Orchard Garden was quite a distance from the Botanic Gardens MRT Station. It is nearer to the Orchard entrance. First thing I noticed, the big water fountain. Next, Orchids Orchids and more Orchids - different colours, shapes, hybrids. Enjoy the photos folks!

I was having much fun experimenting with my Pentax-kx - using the 18-55mm lens and going in tight with the 75-300mm lens (Too bad I do not own a macro lens). It was cloudy and the harsh light was diffused by the clouds. Great light for photographing flowers.

Suddenly, things changed. Thunder roared and it was drizzling. Soon, it poured. Fortunately, I managed to seek shelter under the cool house with several other tourists. Inside the cool house, you find photos, information of the history of National Orchid Garden and how the Orchids was breed.

Last but not least, I shall share this photo with you folks. White flowers are just so pure and elegant. STOP focusing on the sexy legs of the lady in the background guys.
