Genting Trip 2012 - Day 2 & 3

Genting isn't really my kind of place and during the December holidays, full of crowd. People are everywhere! The movie queue was super long and they're pre-ordering for movies the next day. Guess what, its only 11am in the morning!

Basically, what I did was eat, sleep, watch TV then the routine cycles. Bored but I enjoy the cooling weather of Genting. We visited Chin Swee Temple and had dinner at mushroom farm.

The picture above is taken on the bus towards the temple. Notice the winding road? The road is not only winding but steep and the foggy weather adds a little challenge for the driver.

I noticed this full stretch of spiral joss sticks and lucky enough, I caught a helper putting one of it up. Believers are praying to god for safety, advices and maybe a little luck to strike TOTO or 4D.

It's first time experiencing the thunderous fire crackles. The last boom resembles a generade going off. It is believed that it brings good luck and everything goes smoothly for businesses.

We roamed around the area and noticed a pagoda like that of Singapore's Chinese Garden, It felt like another Haw Par Villa, having the 10 courts of Hell and several deity / buddha statues.

If you want to view more on Chin Swee Temple, here's the link by j-travel with great photos and things to expect there.
