Southern Ridges - Forest Walk

Distance: 1.3 km
Difficulty level: easy (Elevated walkway), moderate (Earth trail)
Walking Time: 20 mins

This bridge is disabled-friendly.

This is the first thing I saw when I reached the Forest Walk. Enthusiastic to take a picture, I squatted, lean to the side and took my shot. The photo on the right is the result.

I stood up and started exploring. I lower my head and I realized it's going to be a long walk. I saw the bridge zigzagging back and forth a few times and could not see the end of it.
The metal bridge is high and sturdy. However, the gaps and the rumbling sound it makes when you run on it might make some of us slightly uncomfortable.

While trailing I spotted several colorful flowers, exotic tress and plants. I came across an interesting hill. This hill has been stabilized by concerete due to a recent landslide and it has pipe holes all over it. Guess this is where the water from the drains flows to and out to the bigger canal.

Finally, after a long walk, I can see tall buildings and hear the cars zooming on the roads. This is the last stretch of trail before reaching Alexandra Arch.
